WHAT'S
HAPPENING
A subtle reminder for you:
***
OPEN HOUSE ON SUNDAY, JUNE 22nd!!!
***
Yes, that’s right. Kamp K9’s first-ever
open house is approaching rapidly, and we hope we’ll see many
of you here for the event, which will start at 11:00am and will close
at 4:00pm. This is your chance to get a look at where your dogs & cats
stay while you’re away! Just bring yourselves, please; this event
is intended for folks to get a look around the place without dogs jumping
all over them. We hope to see as many of you here as possible!
*** BUT WAIT…THERE’S ANOTHER EVENT
COMING UP! ***
The following Saturday, the 28th, Kamp K9 is hosting
a yard sale to benefit Maine Cocker Spaniel Rescue. Times have not
been established yet, but as soon as they are you’ll get a reminder
email.
Many of you have been finding ticks on your dogs
for a while now. I’ve said it a few times to people here and
there, but it bears stating here that there really is no conclusion
to tick season in Southern Maine anymore. I’ve found them falling
off dogs in January, believe it or not. Our winters haven’t
been getting cold enough for long enough periods of time to have any
meaningful tick kill-off, and I’ve seen dogs come in for groomings
with fleas in the dead of winter, so tick & flea prevention, mandatory
here at Kamp K9, needs to be year-round..

Sorry about that. The pressing need
to get this newsletter out in a timely fashion apparently takes precedence
over your education this month.
PHOTO
OF THE MONTH:
Bruno is a 15-year-old spaniel mix
who has beaten the odds repeatedly despite a number of health issues,
and Dooley, a 13-year-old Toy Poodle who used to belong to the late
previous owner of the Kamp K9 property, and who has been living with
Kamp k9 a little over 2 years. They are, respectively, one of our
oldest customers, and our oldest Kamp Kounselor. Doesn’t it
just melt you?
Got a funny photo you'd like to share? By all means email it, and
we'll include it in a future issue!
