Paws in the Park Walk

Sunday, September 26th at Deering Oaks Park, Portland

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Final details have not been released by the ARLGP; however, the event is sure to follow the same pattern as previous years:

This is the ARLGP’s biggest fund raiser. People can walk their pet along a mile-long path in the area surrounding Deering Oaks Park, and are encouraged to get sponsor sheets and collect donations for the League. Whether they take place in the walk or not, the public can bring their dog(s) to Deering Oaks starting at 10:00am and peruse display booths set up by various animal-related businesses which have sponsored the event. The actual walk takes place at noon, starting and ending in Deering Oaks. After the walk, there will be demonstrations and pet contests at the bandstand (past favorites have included "best wag," "best costume," and "best bark").

This is a great fundraiser for a great organization doing unbelievable work for the animals we love. Please consider taking part. Even if you don’t, feel free to come by and see us at our display!
