Take Me Home

Welcome to the newest feature in The Straight Poop! We felt that it would be a good idea to feature pets who are in need of a loving forever home, particularly since we here at Kamp K9 often hear about animals displaced by the misfortunes of so many people and families in these times. If you know a pet who needs a new home, and who doesn’t have the benefit of much publicity, let us know, and we can feature them here. Information given here is preliminary only and comes either from rescue organizations or owners; contact them for more information.

From June Hill of Maine Cocker Spaniel Rescue:

The beautiful older girl to the right is Bally. She is approximately eight to ten years old, but has the spunk and demeanor of a dog MUCH younger. She is housebroken and trustworthy in the house when left alone. She just loves people and loves to get as much attention as possible from her humans. She can live with another dog - provided the other dog isn't as needy as she is for attention. She can also live with cats that are aloof and basically stay out of her space. She loves to go for walks and she is great off-leash.

Bally is just an all-around great dog who lives to be with you. She is a rescued dog from a shelter in GA. Her adoption fee is $100. Please contact Anne from Canine Commitment at aff0403@msn.com if you are interested in finding out more about Bally. Bally is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained, and has been spayed. One of the current residents of the Animal Refuge League, Casper's story is one of those heartbreaking tales of "human meets other humans, other humans move in, cat doesn't like other humans, cat goes to shelter." Casper lived with another cat and got along with his feline buddy. Maybe another calm kitty, and not more than one or two adult humans (he seems to prefer women, by the way), will work for him. He's independent enough to entertain himself for periods of time, loves catnip, feather wands, and windowsills, and purrs up a storm when he's happy. He’s both friendly and self-sufficient. It may take him a day or two to get used to his new digs, so give this orange boy a little space at first. Once he decides to make himself known, he's one of those relaxed cats that will roll over onto his back with delight. You, catnip, and a feather wand will rock his world.

Casper is up-to-date with routine shots and has been neutered. His petfinder.com com page is
