The Latest Scoop

Kmp K9A Quick Look Back

Yet again we find ourselves beginning another calendar year, shaking our heads and wondering what the heck happened to the previous twelve months. So much happened during 2011 that it’s hard to remember any of it but the major landmarks...but this was a major year for us here, so we would at least like to commit to the newsletter those landmarks to help us preserve the memory what kind of a year it was.

January saw us taking a Red Cross-sanctioned pet first aid course. The re-vamped Kamp K9 web site was launched at the start of May. A second hand was added to the daycare/boarding part of the business at the beginning of June. Late in June, the East Yard had its fence replaced and the grounds repaired, filled, and seeded, and we attended Dock Dogs for the first time. We set a new single-month record in August, and rode out a tropical storm. In September, Luc & Jen took time off that lasted longer than a weekend for the first time in a while. Late in October, the second big grounds project was done: the driveway and parking area were paved. Finally, perhaps not Earth-shatteringly, but in November our email address changed. And we can also say one final thing encompassing all of 2011: We were the busiest we have ever been, growing about 30%! THANK YOU, EVERYONE, FOR SUCH AN INCREDIBLE YEAR!

Missing Boxer

Griffin is a male Boxer who has been missing from his home in the Oak Hill area of Scarborough since December 15. Please hit this link to our Facebook page to see a digital poster of him. A reward is being offered.

Success for Rosie

Last month we told you about Rosina, a Manchester Terrier in need of a new home. We have happy news to report: She has a new home with Sue! Rosie and Sue fell in love with each other during Rosie's "foster" time here, and it was also pretty much love at first sight between Rosie and Sue's son. Since then they've become inseparable. (On the next page: Our very cute Photo of the Month is a prime example.)

Thank you, all!
See you soon!
