Camper Profile: Molly Curtis

Our Kamper Profile this month is about Molly Curtis, a happy, playful Golden Retriever. She was born on July 1st of 2007 in Freedom, Maine.

Molly’s been a Kamper since the spring of 2008, and has an absolute blast whenever she comes over. Still very much a puppy at heart, she mostly enjoys picking out a friend and running and wrestling with them. She has a few such friends, and seems to try to be sure she gives all of them her attention over the course of the day.

Her parents, Phil and Jo, are the first to admit that their girl is a bit spoiled at home. They both grew up with dogs of various breeds, but Molly is their first Golden Retriever, and they’re convinced that she’s woven some kind of spell over them, which renders them defenseless against her whims. (You know the kind of whims we’re talking about: the kind that result in chewed glasses and socks – not the cheap ones, mind you, but the nice thick wool ones – and being up on forbidden furniture. Even the hot tub was fair game at one time.)

All that said, though, it also must be said that she’s a good mother to her "baby" (a favorite small stuffed toy) which she takes outside to do its business with her, and which she carries gently around with her as if she were in charge of a puppy. She’s also a very loving girl to her parents and to Luc. Phil and Jo both mention that when she hears the words "go see Luc" or "go to Kamp" she practically jumps out of her skin with excitement.

Like the other members of her family, she’s a fan of seafood, and her favorites are lobster and steamed clams.

Molly’s been a lot of fun to have around over the past year and we’re happy to have her!

Thanks to Jo & Phil for bio information.
