Microchip Reminder

Kmp K9 As featured in last month's Straight Poop, we’re hosting a low-cost microchip clinic to benefit the Animal Refuge League on December 13th from 10am-3pm. This is a great opportunity! Signing up ahead of time is required. For more details see last month’s issue at www.mykampk9.com/spcover.html

December Holiday Reservations

Now’s the time to get your boarding reservation on the books, if you haven’t already. Thanksgiving saw an influx of new customers, and it was fantastic to see more new faces around. At the same time, we want to be sure that our established customers get first dibs on space here, so if you’re planning on having your cat or dog stay with us for the December holidays, let us know soon!

Speaking of December holidays...

Closing Early Christmas Eve/Misc Holiday Stuff

Once again this year, we’ll be closing up shop on Christmas Eve at 4pm. This means that all boarding drop-offs need to be done and all day kampers be picked up by that time. On Christmas day, there will be, obviously, no day camp, but please note that there will also be no boarding drop-offs or pick-ups. This is the one day in the entire year in which we will be closed for all business.

And one final holiday note: on New Year’s Day, we will be closed for day camp, but available for boarding pick-ups in the afternoon.

Cold Weather & Storm Concerns

As this paragraph gets written, Maine is in the midst of an extremely cold and windy day. We want to reassure all of you that our Common Room is safe and comfy-cozy, even when the weather is this ugly (or worse, like it’ll get in January/February). We also have a backup generator here so that if we lose CMP due to wind/snow/a mouse burping nearby, we’ll still have power (and thus heat, water, and lights), and we keep a close eye on everyone to prevent injuries due to cold and snow.

Speaking of snow: Basically, there are no snow closure days at Kamp K9. We’re here on the premises no matter what the weather, and we have snow plow service, so if you can get here safely, we’re here for you. Your pups love the snow!!
